Definitely, that is completely outrageous! Sounds like something out of a movie huh?
This child was taken advantage of by a grown man. That man needs to be locked up. The child now needs consultation to undo what she has gone through! What if this girl is a special needs child? Do not blame the child till you know the full story. Blame the man, blame the man. Why didn't the parents know what was going on? There is not enough information to adequately throw barbs.
The man should be punished by making him continue to live under the girls bed for a few years, without the girl being in it of course. Let the punishment fit the crime.
This is a horrific and sad situation that is going on all over the country. We only learned about this incident because of the newspapers. Children are being abducted and abused by neighbors, friends and family members nationwide. What we as a community should start doing is know who our neighbors are and do some background checking. Know who our children's friends are and get to know their parents before you allow your children to enter into someone's home. This may seem drastic, but it is believed that one in three children will be sexually abused and approached by a predator online. We should also look out for the children in our community that are not our own children too. Let's get more involved as a village!

I always look under my bed before I retire. It appeared this girl wanted a ride otherwise she would have spoken up...don't always blame the men. If it was a women under the bed of a young boy, the women would only get a slap on the wrist!!! Please do not play Hillary games "...as a Village" I just ate breakfast...Thanks
Doesnt the mother ever vacuum under the bed or dust or change the bedroom around. Didnt the girl hear anything funny in her room under her bed. This guy may be a pedophile or someone escaping the law. I am a sr sr and I have always cleaned my house once a week, including vacuuming under the bed, cleaning non necessities from closets etc. You may ask why clean closets well you see sometimes when I finish washing I hang a bunch of things on hangers in one shot in the closet. Then when I clean I rearrange the hangers to have tops in one section, slacks in another, etc. and I have always lined up my shoes toes facing out at the back of my closet as I taught my children to do when they came in from outside, heels against the wall and to this day when they come home, they say to their children heels against the wall. At 5 years of age my children knew how to make a bed with the sheets on tight, and then together we would bounce a quarter off it to be sure it was made right. My granddaughter comes in to help me sometines and I watched her make a bed and without even thinking she reached into her pocket took out a quarter and flipped it on the bed--She said my dad showed me this and I laughed because I had showed him. I only had to remove all the blankets and sheets off the bed once and pile them in the centre of the floor and tell them to do it again when my children were young.
How did this moron get into the house in the first place. How come one of the parents didnt find out about this before a YEAR Where did he eat, from their fridge too. Who found him, and did anyone in the home know him. If both the parents were working, and presumably the girl going to school--I presume that every normal household vacuums once a week, why wasnt he found. THIS MUST BE AN AUTROCIOUSLY MESSY AND DIRTY HOUSE, AND EVERYONE INSIDE IT DEAF. He should have a place to sleep for about 5 years, even a person charged for vagrancy on the street can get up to this amount of time. It wasnt mentioned if he had a criminal record or was just another bum from the street. Did he threaten the girl if she told he was there. So many questions and no answers.
I agree with Dolly--where in the hell were her parents at every night?? What ever happened to bedtime stories & prayers at bedtime? Perhaps if the Mom or Dad had knelt by her bed for her evening prayer or a good night kiss-- the 13 year old wouldn't of snuck a man under her bed! Who knows --now days kids grow up way too fast!!

well then why are you throwing them. blame the man!! blame the man!so until more info is released dont bring judgement on anyone.have a open mind until you have the facts.

If someone inside the house had seen him and feared for their life and shot him, they would have got off in Canada with a minor sentence if any as he would be considered dangerous. He is lucky it turned out the way it did, and just have to go to Crowbar Hotel. There is too little of this story known, I understand the girl never knew him. Was he a sexual predator. I say a Tattoo on the forehead for this guy too.
A 13 year old cannot consent to sex, so YES, blame the man. Duh.
You would make more sense if you said nothing. The man is to blame if the girl is underage--even if he thinks in his warped mind that she consented. GET A GRIP ON YOUR MORALS BEFORE YOU GET INTO TROUBLE. DUH TO YOU
Bottom line is the victims of these crimes only have as much justice as the justice system permits. I say we need tougher laws, harsher penalties (castration is my idea!) and parents that are parenting with both eyes open. The younger generations seems to have much more freedom than we did. My parents knew what I was up to until the day I moved out. THANK GOD!!!

Well said.........and I agree with the castration of these characters too.
You know ladies they say a happy home is where you can write I love you in the dust on your coffee table but it says absolutely nothing about not cleaning all the dirt out from under your bed. A human being sheds 250,000 pieces of skin in one year as new skin is formed, this becomes dust also anything that comes thru your air conditioner or whatever bugs, flies anything else will shed. This all becomes dust, collecting all over your house and in your mattress also, later someone may get acne or exzema, DONT WONDER WHY ---so dusting is important and dont forget to flip that mattress over and vacuum both sides at least once a month. IF THE MOTHER HAD EVEN CLEANED THE MATTRESS ONCE--IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN LINT SHE FOUND UNDER HER DAUGHTERS BED.-- ONE BIG PIECE OF DIRT THAT HAD GOTTEN INTO HER HOUSE.--SLEEPING UNDER HER DAUGHTERS BED.
